KOT Wrap Up
On a warm winter day, our Club fielded three teams for the first time at the KOT. Each team may not have won all their matches but they were impressive regardless of the score or outcome as all the players played hard throughout each match. Way to go boys! We have a lot of film that we will be going over to identify areas where we need to improve upon. For the beginning of the season and for the first rugby game for many of our players (especially the Frosh Soph team), our effort was great. We are optimistic that over the course of the season there will be a lot of growth in all our teams. We also want to thank all the parents, alumni, and friends who came out to support the boys and for those new to the game, having the chance to see and begin to understand what a great sport our players are playing.

The Frosh Soph team played Friday night, Feb. 3rd, against Granite Bay and came out on top in a game in which we were able to play the entire team. Granite Bay came in with no substitute players but provided enough competition for the Frosh Soph team to build some confidence after the KOT and work on their rugby skills. The match was clean and well played and ended with some great hospitality.

The MS team played shorthanded against Bowling Green and came out ahead in a match which was extended for unknown reasons. During the extended time Bowling Green scored a couple of tries to make the score close at the end. Our boys next match is against Granite Bay this Sunday.

On an unseasonable, warm winter day Wolfpack Rugby Club fielded three teams for the first time at the KOT. This was the first action of the season for the Varsity and Frosh Soph and also for many of the players on both teams. Although, it was a long day, all the teams from the Middle School to the Varsity played hard in each match. We taped a lot of the action which we will be reviewing and then practicing those aspects of each teams play which need improvement. I want to thank all the parents, alumni, and friends who came out to support our boys. For many of you, it also was your first experience watching rugby and beginning to learn how great a sport it is. We hope you learned a little bit about the game and saw why your sons enjoy playing it, regardless of the outcome. |

Register now for the upcoming season for our Middle School, and Frosh Soph and Varsity High School teams. Please include a copy of your child's birth certificate (Middle School only), school ID (high school teams) with the registration form. Registration forms will be available or you can download and print out the registration form that is at the bottom of our registration webpage. Donations for club operations for $200 per player should be made out to Wolfpack Rugby. You can either mail your forms to the address at the top of the registration form or bring them to the first practice.

There will be a information/registration meeting on Monday, November 7th from 6 to 8 pm at Woodcreek High School in Room 306. The room is located at the northwest area of the school near the Gym. This meeting will go over the upcoming season and cover our Youth (U12), Middle School, and High School teams. Our end of the year team party is on Monday, May 2nd at Elliot Park from 5pm to 8pm. Players and families are encouraged to attend. We will be playing an intersquad 7's tournament followed by a bbq. Please RSVP to Shana Gregory if you and your family are coming so we can get a head count for the bbq. If possible, we would like everyone to bring an item to share. Shana has already sent out an email and made telephone calls with the info. Elliot Park is located at 1421 Cushendall Drive in Roseville, about 1 mile from Woodcreek HS. The field locations page on the left side of the website has the link to the park. |

The varsity will be playing their last match against the Islanders at Garcia Bend Park in the Pocket area of Sacramento on Wednesday, April 27th. Game time will be 5:30pm. Be there 30 minutes prior for warmup. This promises to be a great game and everyone should come out and support the team. Garcia Bend Park is located at 7654 Pocket Road in Sacramento. It should take about 45 minutes to get there from Woodcreek HS. We will be departing from Woodcreek HS by 4pm. |

Tomorrow, Monday April 25th will be our last practice of the season. This is a mandatory practice in prep for the Islanders match on Wednesday. Be at Woodcreek HS by 5:30pm sharp. |
